As a proud Keswick local, Richard believes pets deserve the same care and compassion you'd give your family. ![Richard_and_Joey](https://www.yoderbird.com/hs-fs/hubfs/prev%20website%20photos/Richard_and_Joey.png?width=2000&height=1125&name=Richard_and_Joey.png "Richard_and_Joey") ## The Yoderbird Origin Story ### Yoderbird began the way all good things do: with a kid, a dog, and a lot of heart. Richard grew up on Sunnyfield Farm in Keswick, spending his days chasing dogs through tall grass and learning the quiet rhythm of life alongside horses. From the start, he understood that animals aren't just pets — they're family, teachers, and the purest kind of friend. That love never faded. Whether it was helping a neighbor with a stubborn pup or looking after a stray that wandered too close to the barn, caring for animals became second nature. Today, what started on a small Virginia farm has grown into a trusted local name in pet care, built on compassion, reliability, and the belief that happy pets make happy people.                   [Book Your Service](https://www.yoderbird.com/booking?hsLang=en) ![Our Promise](https://www.yoderbird.com/hs-fs/hubfs/OUR%20MISSION%20(1).png?width=1080&height=1080&name=OUR%20MISSION%20(1).png) ## What You Can Expect ##### One familiar caregiver your pet knows and trusts.
